Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation celebrates Noah Winslow's top-20 finish at the 2026 Bassmaster Classic on the Tennessee River. Winslow, a conservation partner, actively participates in OSCF's Fill A Bag While Filling Your Tag program, which has distributed over 100,000 reusable bags and removed tens of thousands of pounds of trash from waterways nationwide.

Safari Club International (SCI) commends the U.S. House of Representatives for passing the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act (H.R. 556), introduced by Rep. Rob Wittman. The legislation prohibits federal agencies from banning traditional lead ammunition and tackle on federal public lands without scientific justification, protecting hunter and angler choice.

The Boone and Crockett Club has partnered with the University of Wyoming to establish a Working Lands Wildlife Conservation Professorship in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources. The program will focus on wildlife habitat conservation, ranch management, and wildlife disease research, including chronic wasting disease, while supporting Wyoming's ranching communities and big game populations.

Delta Waterfowl's First Hunt program has introduced over 100,000 people to waterfowl hunting across North America. The milestone was reached at an Arkansas event in February, with participants including Jessica Painter, Tyrone Davis and his sons, and Dylan Michael. The chapter-driven program aims to reverse declining waterfowl hunter numbers and sustain hunting traditions.

Turkeys for Tomorrow CEO Jason Lupardus announced that all TFT flocks will now retain 20% of funds generated from conservation dinners for local or regional projects, a significant increase compared to the 1-5% typical in other conservation organizations. The TFT Fly Down Committee, comprised of local flock members, made this decision to empower grassroots conservation efforts and support habitat projects, youth programs, and predator-prey research at the local level.

The Sportsmen's Alliance submitted comments to the National Marine Fisheries Service supporting exempted fishing permits for Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina to expand recreational red snapper harvest seasons. The applications from state fish and wildlife agencies aim to improve data collection and inform long-term management strategies for the South Atlantic red snapper fishery.

The Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation (OSCF) received four official trademarks from the USPTO: ComeWith!, Connecting with Conservation, Fill A Bag While Filling Your Tag, and HATS. These trademarks support OSCF's programs promoting hunting, fishing, trapping, and target shooting, including a successful partnership with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources that generated over 18,000 new participants.

A coalition including Safari Club International, California Rifle and Pistol Association, California Bowmen Hunters/State Archery Association, Howl for Wildlife, California Deer Association, and the Coalition to Save Catalina Island Deer filed a lawsuit challenging the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's approval of a plan to eradicate all mule deer on Catalina Island, alleging violations of environmental law and inadequate scientific review.

Safari Club International welcomed the National Park Service's proposed rule to reopen hunting on Alaska's national preserves and restore state management authority under the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act. The rule unwinds contested 2015, 2017, and 2024 regulations and reinstitutes long-established closure procedures, with a 30-day public comment period now open.

Knife Rights has entered the motions phase of its federal lawsuit challenging Minnesota's switchblade ban. Minnesota filed a Motion for Summary Judgment arguing switchblades fall outside Second Amendment protection, while Knife Rights' attorney John Dillon and Chairman Doug Ritter contend the state's position contradicts the Supreme Court's Bruen framework. Knife Rights' response brief is due March 20th.
