Senior Product Engineer – Shooting Sports Location: New England (Other National opportunities exist)

OBJECTIVE:
The successful Engineer will have the technical ability to bring products from ideation through to manufacturing. Develop, design and enhance a revolutionary product line to meet customer demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customers to conduct research and create design proposals for projects.
? Createconcepts,performance,andproductioncriteria.
? Design,overseebuild,andtestprototypes.
? Provide product cost estimates.
? Evaluate design alternatives based on cost, quality and production feasibility.
? Work with Global Suppliers to optimize and document designs for production.
? Conduct design reviews with the Manufacturing, Finance, Sales and Marketing
? CreateBOM’sandroutingsinERPSystem.
? Provide manufacturing and production support for new products and continuous improvement of existing products
? Interact with manufacturing, quality, and line personnel to implement new designs into production.
? MusthavedesignexperiencedesigningpartsforCNC,injectionmodelingandcastings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? B.S. in Engineering or equivalent work experience
? 5+ years of experience on a product engineering team, with a focus on quality, reliability, and
commercialization
? Provenexperienceinprecisionmanufacturinganddesignformanufacture
? Firearm and accessory experience along with knowledge of the shooting sports industry, strongly preferred
? Projectmanagementexperience
? Knowledge and experience with supplier management.
? Microsoft Office and 3D CAD modeling experience required; SolidWorks preferred.
