Leupold Adds PR2-MIL Reticle to Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 Riflescope

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce the expansion of its competition-winning PR2-MIL reticle, which will now be available in the company’s Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 model riflescope.

Developed with input from the country’s top competitors and professional shooters, the PR2-MIL reticle is specifically designed for long-range speed and precision. It provides shooters with a clean sight picture that’s free of the clutter you see with other Christmas tree designs, allowing for fast accuracy, hold-offs, and shot corrections. Combined with the FFP construction of the Mark 5HD, it allows shooters to quickly range their target, compensate for windage and drop, and retain extreme precision at both the lowest and highest magnification. The PR2-MIL reticle was previously only available in Leupold’s Mark 5HD 5-25x56 and 7-35x56 configurations.

“We designed the PR2 reticle to reduce clutter, simplify your shooting process and, simply, improve anyone’s long-range shooting performance–and since its arrival it’s been winning competitions around the globe,” said John Snodgrass, Leupold’s Tactical Product Line Manager. “We heard the calls from consumers to make it available in the 3.6-18x44, and we listened. We’re excited to offer even more shooters the chance to discover what the PR2 is capable of.”

Pick up a Mark 5HD and you’ll feel the difference. The scope redefines accuracy, precision, and optical performance for long-range shooters. Pick one up and you’ll feel the difference: it’s up to 20 ounces lighter than other scopes in its class. Get behind one and you’ll see the difference, from its superior edge-to-edge clarity to its extreme low-light performance. With three revolutions of elevation adjustment, the Mark 5HD was made to max out the performance of the latest long-range rifles and ammunition. It features Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System, which offers unmatched light transmission that’s designed to outperform in the most challenging lighting conditions, industry-leading glare reduction for a clear image in harsh, direct light, and the resolution and clarity that professional guides and shooters demand in the field.

The Mark 5HD is waterproof, fogproof, shockproof, and guaranteed to perform for life.

Like all Leupold riflescopes, it is proudly designed, machined, and assembled in the company’s Beaverton, Ore., factory.
