Buck Knives Seeks CFO

Buck Knives, leader in sports cutlery, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the organization’s executive team at its headquarters in Post Falls, Idaho.

This senior leadership role will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial management, with oversight of the Finance, Accounting, and Information Technology teams. Reporting to the President of Buck Knives, the CFO will provide oversight of all accounting, finance, revenue and expense forecasting, financial planning and budgeting, product costing, legal and risk management actions, and institutional financing within a globally distributed consumer products manufacturer.

The CFO will participate in key organizational decisions, provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial objectives and disseminate periodic status reports to assist in departmental decisions and spending.

The CFO will generate and provide periodic analyses of budgets, financial trends and forecasts, and identify variances that may impact financial performance.

Other duties will include identifying cost reduction strategies, monitoring cash balances, maintaining banking relationships, and a wide range of financial business objectives.

The CFO will ensure that effective internal controls are in place for compliance with GAAP as well as federal, state and local regulatory laws, rules for financial, plus tax reporting.

Carrying the responsibility of the organization’s financial health, this role will be expected to operate with keen business acumen, have an exceptional ability to grasp market/industry trends, and be the leading expert in product costs and profitability analyses, including understanding the various inputs and outputs that drive further profitability.

Qualifications for the CFO position include: strong corporate executive leadership abilities; outstanding organizational skills; thorough knowledge of GAAP; plus experience with lean principles and lean accounting methodology within a manufacturing environment, preferably in top-tier branded consumer products. This position will be required to implement change and resolve conflicts while maintaining a high level of integrity, dependability, and confidence with a focus on results orientation.
