Beginning this year, a free supplemental sage grouse hunting permit is required for harvesting sage grouse. These permits can be acquired online or at any FWP office or license provider.

At its June 19 meet, the Fish and Wildlife Commission approved the sage grouse permit requirement. The permit will help biologists to better estimate sage grouse harvest.
