Goose seasons open Nov. 7 statewide, while duck hunters in Zones 1 and 2 will start their regular duck season Nov. 14 (with a youth, veteran and active military waterfowl day slated for Nov. 7). Panhandle duck hunters have been able to hit the blind since mid-October. All that to say that waterfowl seasons are upon the Sooner State.
Located in the Central Flyway, Oklahoma is part of the wintering range for many species of ducks and geese. This provides sportsmen with an opportunity to pursue their feathered quarry from November through January and, in some cases, even longer.
