Safe LivinG Wraps 2026 Grand Safety Tour at Fort Hood

Safe LivinG™, in collaboration with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES, the Exchange), will close out its 2026 Grand Safety Tour at the Fort Hood Main Exchange in Texas on October 30–31, bringing its free, hands-on immersion into firearms safety, responsible gun ownership and suicide prevention to one of the nation's largest military installations. The Safe LivinG experience offers attendees a unique opportunity to engage in various activities centered around personal security, situational awareness and firearms safety.

"There's no better place to finish the 2026 Grand Safety Tour than with the Soldiers and families of Fort Hood," said Karen Butler, Founder and CEO of SLG2, Inc. "This year we've met thousands of people who wanted to be safer and more confident with firearms, and our collaboration with AAFES lets us bring that experience to the military community. We're grateful to end the tour here."

The centerpiece of the experience is Safe LivinG's fully enclosed tractor-trailer mobile range. Inside the mobile range, guests ages 18 and older can participate in an instructor-led experience focused on safe firearm handling using a FATS by InVeris military-grade simulator that provides realistic feedback in a controlled environment.

There are also opportunities to review firearms from top manufacturers and learn about the importance of responsible firearm handling and safe storage. Safe LivinG also aims to raise awareness about self-defense tools, such as SABRE pepper spray and Streamlight flashlights, through interactive demonstrations. The organization encourages families to bring their children along for a dedicated firearm safety discussion tailored specifically for young attendees.

Since 1895, AAFES has provided goods and services to U.S. Army, Air Force and Space Force installations worldwide. It is the 51st largest retailer in the United States, providing valued goods and services at exclusive military pricing for soldiers, airmen, guardians and their families. One hundred percent of the earnings support military communities.

The Safe LivinG experience will be stationed at the Fort Hood Main Exchange on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Both new and experienced shooters, along with their families, are invited to attend this exciting event. For more information on tour dates and the mission of SLG2, Inc., visit safeliving2.com and follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
