The Black River hatchery near Onaway, Michigan is hosting free tours on September 5 featuring 3- to 4-month-old lake sturgeon. Researchers from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Michigan State University, and Sturgeon for Tomorrow will discuss sturgeon biology and restoration efforts, followed by fingerling releases into the Black River and Mullett Lake.
