Excalibur Crossbow Named Official Sponsor of Artemis Sportswomen's Mentored Hunt

Excalibur Crossbow, a leading crossbow manufacturer, has been named the official crossbow sponsor of Artemis Sportswomen's Mentored Crossbow Hunt, taking place Nov. 5-8, 2026, in Naples, New York.

As part of the partnership, Excalibur pro-staff member Bethany Beathard will serve as one of the event mentors, sharing her experience and helping participants develop their crossbow hunting skills.

Hosted by Artemis Sportswomen, the mentored hunt is designed to introduce women to hunting in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. The four-day experience will include educational sessions, range time, shared meals and in-field hunting opportunities using crossbows in pre-scouted areas and ground blinds on The Nature Conservancy property.

"I'm honored to be a mentor at this event, representing Excalibur Crossbow," said Bethany. "Having the opportunity to give back to the female hunting community by sharing my knowledge and experiences with other women is something I truly value. I believe the future of women in hunting is strengthened through mentorship, encouragement and community. Events like this create opportunities for women to build confidence, develop their skills and find empowerment."

Through its sponsorship, Excalibur Crossbow will help support the event's mission of creating meaningful opportunities for women to learn from experienced hunters, gain practical knowledge and build confidence in the outdoors. Beathard's participation as a mentor will further that mission by providing hands-on guidance and sharing insights from her own hunting experience.

"Having an opportunity to support women in this sport is always rewarding," said Beth Shimanski, VP of Marketing at Excalibur Crossbow. "This event is the perfect intersection of the value of mentorship and our brands commitment to educating more people about the outdoors."

The partnership reflects the importance of mentorship in developing the next generation of hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. By connecting participants with experienced mentors and providing opportunities to learn in the field, the Women's Mentored Crossbow Hunt aims to make hunting more accessible while fostering a stronger community of women who share a passion for the outdoors and conservation.

For Excalibur, supporting initiatives like this align with its commitment to equipping hunters with dependable crossbow technology and helping more people experience the traditions and opportunities of hunting.

The Women's Mentored Crossbow Hunt is organized by Artemis Sportswomen, an initiative of the National Wildlife Federation focused on increasing women's representation in hunting and angling, developing sportswomen's leadership, and advancing conservation through women's participation in the outdoors. Additional partners include The Nature Conservancy, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and WildHERness.

The event is currently full, but interested participants can visit the Artemis Sportswomen event page to join the waitlist.
