EAA Corp., in partnership with Girsan firearms, announces nationwide distribution of the Girsan Witness2311 XXX Series, including the CMX XXX and SC9 XXX compact 9mm double-stack 1911 models.
Beginning in early October 2026, both the Witness2311 CMX XXX and SC9 XXX will start shipping through EAA's distributors network.
The Witness2311 XXX Series is the smallest double-stack 1911 platform produced by EAA/Girsan to date, built around a new compact grip module approximately 25% smaller than a standard full-size double-stack 1911 grip. Unlike many compact double-stacks that shorten the slide and barrel while retaining a full-size grip, the XXX Series reduces the grip itself, pairing it with aggressive texturing, a low-profile magwell, and a 3.4-inch barrel while retaining a 16+1 capacity with slim Check-Mate magazines.
The CMX XXX takes the compact platform further with an automatic firing pin block in place of the traditional grip safety, an optic-ready slide for RMSc footprint, tuned trigger, two-tone finish, and precision lightening cuts. SKU: 395062 (2 Magazines)
The SC9 XXX stays closer to the traditional 1911 configuration with a grip safety and a minimal feature set, bringing the same compact 16+1 platform to market at a competitive starting MSRP of $599 and giving EAA dealers nationwide a competitively priced solution for customers looking for a true compact double-stack 1911. SKU: 395064
A special-edition Witness2311 CMX XXX launch package will be available through Academy Sports + Outdoors stores. SKU 395162 includes the CMX XXX pistol and four Check-Mate 16-round aluminum magazines.
Adding even more value, high-quality Check-Mate 16-round magazines retail for just $27 each, making it affordable to stock up without the magazine premium.
