The Spring Draw is Now Open

The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is accepting applications for 2027 hunt permit-tags issued through the draw process for spring turkey, javelina, bison, bear and raptor capture. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026.

APPLY FOR THE SPRING DRAW

The 2027 Spring Turkey, Javelina, Bison, Bear and Raptor Capture Hunt Draw Information booklet is the best place to find answers to your questions and plan your hunt.

Draw reminders:

  • Have a valid licenseboth at the time of application entry and on deadline day. Only a hunting license, or a combination hunt and fish license, is valid. Short-term licenses are not valid.
  • Know your Customer ID.
  • Download AZGFD's free Arizona E-Tag App, then opt in to receive an electronic permit-tag in your AZGFD portal account (this is not an option selected through the draw).
  • Protect your Bonus Points by purchasing a PointGuard product.
  • Sign up to receive a hunter questionnaire via text message. During your draw application, keep an eye out for the option to enter your phone number to receive a hunter questionnaire via text message.
  • Open an AZGFD portal account. Portal accounts are the only place where draw results will be posted. Portal accounts are also a great place to track bonus points, see your application history and manage dependent accounts.
  • Make sure your info is up to date. Log in to your portal account to check your bonus points, opt in for an electronic permit-tag (if you've downloaded Arizona E-Tag), or verify your mailing address if you prefer to receive a physical tag, should you be drawn.

If you need assistance, please call AZGFD at 602-942-3000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Good luck in the Draw!

The Arizona Game and Fish Department receives no general fund tax dollars. The majority of funding to manage more than 800 native wildlife species comes from Arizona's hunters and anglers.
