The Gulf Council will host a meeting of its Law Enforcement Technical Committee, in conjunction with the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission's Law Enforcement Committee (LEC). The meeting will convene from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM, CDT on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Hilton Sandestin in Miramar Beach, Florida.
The Law Enforcement Technical Committee will discuss hook limitations on commercial longline vessels, crew size restrictions for vessels with both for-hire and commercial permits, and joint enforcement activities between state and federal partners.
