We Buy Guns has released its July 2026 Secondary Firearms Market Report, providing a detailed look at firearm offer activity, completed purchases, category trends and regional participation observed through the company's nationwide purchasing platform.
July was the most active month recorded in 2026. We Buy Guns issued 2,017 firearm offers representing more than $1.11 million in total offer value. The company also completed 747 firearm purchases and paid $424,955 to sellers during the month.
Compared with June, offer volume increased 12.8%, while completed purchase volume rose 22.7%.
"July produced broad growth across the primary measures we track, including offers, purchases and total market value," said Chris Wing of We Buy Guns. "Modern consumer firearms continued to drive volume, while premium, collector and enthusiast-oriented firearms defined the upper end of observed values."
Key findings from the July 2026 report include:
• Handguns accounted for 62.4% of firearm offers and 65.1% of completed purchases.
• Rifles represented 28.1% of offers and 27.4% of purchases.
• Smith & Wesson led manufacturer activity with 195 submissions and 84 completed purchases.
• The SIG Sauer P320 was the most frequently submitted and purchased model, with 18 submissions and 12 completed purchases.
• Texas generated the highest submission volume, while Indiana led completed purchases.
• July established new 2026 highs for offer volume, purchase volume, total offer value and payments to sellers.
Although commonly owned defensive handguns accounted for most activity, the report also found meaningful value separation among premium and collector-oriented firearms.
Submitted examples of the Staccato P averaged approximately $1,667, while the Kimber 2K11 averaged $1,557 and the Colt Python averaged $1,333. Premium rifles, including the Daniel Defense DDM4V7, also produced average values well above those of commonly submitted consumer handguns.
Geographic activity remained broadly distributed. Texas led the country with 195 firearm submissions, followed by Florida and Indiana. Indiana recorded the highest completed-purchase volume with 81 firearms.
The July report is based on anonymized, first-party offer and purchase activity observed through the We Buy Guns platform.
