Hunter Ed Classes Offered in Terry, Glendive and Lame Deer

Hunter Education classes are scheduled in Terry in August and in Glendive and Lame Deer in September.

To be able to hunt in Montana, anyone born after Jan. 1, 1985 must complete a Hunter Education course. Students ages 10 and 11 can take a free in-person, instructor-led Hunter Ed course and hunt as apprentices but won't be fully certified until turning 12. Students ages 12 and older have the option to take an in-person course, or they can take Hunter Ed online for a fee but must complete a free in-person field day for online students to become certified. Adults can take the in-person or online course, but if taking it online they are not required to take an in-person field day for online students.
