Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is proud to announce it will once again offer a FREE Texas Hunter Education Classroom Course during the HSCF 2027 Worldwide Hunting Expo & Convention on Saturday, January 16, 2027, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.
Designed for new and aspiring hunters ages nine and older, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Hunter Education Course provides the essential knowledge and skills every hunter should possess before entering the field.
The course covers the core principles of:
- Firearm safety
- Hunting safety
- Hunting ethics
- Wildlife conservation
All instructional materials are provided. The classroom course consists of up to six hours of instruction, not including registration, breaks, testing, and certification card distribution. Courses are taught by certified volunteer Hunter Education instructors and satisfy the Texas hunter education requirements for eligible participants.
HSCF covers the cost and adds even more value. As part of its commitment to preserving our hunting heritage through education, HSCF will provide every registered participant with:
