FWP Announces Changes to Sieben Ranch Block Management Areas Near Lincoln

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks wants hunters to be aware of recent changes to the two Sieben Ranch Company Block Management Areas (BMAs) near Lincoln, including Horsefly Creek and Keep Cool Hills.

New this year, Sieben Ranch's Horsefly Creek BMA requires written permission, awarded through a limited reservation system. Interested hunters should contact Sieben Ranch/Cathy Baucus at 406-442-2228 this week from Wednesday, August 26 through Friday, August 28 from 10 a.m.-2p.m.

Horsefly Creek BMA is limited to 10 hunters per day and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Hunters awarded permission must display their permission slip on the vehicle's dashboard and park only in designated areas. This area does not allow camping for the 2026 season. View all requirements and rules on the property map and information sheet.

On the Sieben Ranch Company Keep Cool Hills BMA, hunters must park only in newly designated areas, marked on-site and on the property map. Camping is now limited to three days during a 21-day period.

Interested hunters should be sure to review the maps and information sheets, which include a complete list of rules for both areas. For more information on these and other Block Management opportunities, visit fwp.mt.gov/bma.
