Daisy Outdoor Products, a member of the Iconic Outdoor Group and the world's oldest and largest marketer of airguns and airgun accessories, was awarded the Manufacturer of Excellence Award (also referred to as the Legendary Manufacturer Award) at the 2026 Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony.
The event took place Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the John A. & Genny Morris Conservation Center in Springfield, Mo. The annual gathering recognizes outdoor industry leaders, sportsmen and organizations for their lasting contributions to hunting, fishing, shooting sports and conservation.
Daisy accepted the honor in recognition of its long-standing commitment to manufacturing quality airguns and related products that have introduced generations of young people to the shooting sports. Best known for the iconic Red Ryder BB gun – first introduced in 1940 and still produced today – Daisy has manufactured hundreds of models of BB guns, air rifles, air pistols and accessories over more than 140 years. The company continues to emphasize safe, supervised use of airguns and supports youth shooting education and yearly conducts the Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match national championship.
