MidwayUSA is seeking three Purchasing Specialists to support its Clothing, Footwear & Marketplaces; Knives, Camping & Fishing;and Ammunition & Reloading categories. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will work with a Merchandising Manager to serve MidwayUSA Customers by purchasing products and building relationships with Suppliers.
Work Location: In-person | Columbia, MO 65203
About The Role
- Responsible for all Purchase Order management, in alignment with the Merchandising & Company strategies through the life cycle of the purchase order.
- Meet and negotiate with Suppliers to develop opportunities, obtain product or service information, and manage delivery schedules
- Participate in Promotions planning and implementation
- Assist the Merchandising Manager with analysis and management of Inventory
- Review Supplier Performance metrics and suggest and implement measures to drive improvement
About You
- You will have 1-3 years of experience in a position requiring attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required
- You are a user of MidwayUSA's core products
- You have excellent product and technical knowledge
- You have a positive attitude and a willingness to continuously improve our processes
- You align with MidwayUSA's Culture and Values and have an active interest in the outdoor/sporting industry.
