With the successful completion of its transition to the KDG brand identity, the company is turning its full attention toward the future—accelerating product development, expanding its product portfolio, and reinforcing the engineering philosophy that has defined the company since 2014.
The transition to KDG was never simply about a new name. It was about creating a clearer identity for a company that has spent more than a decade designing products that solve real-world problems for professional users, competitors, and firearm enthusiasts.
Now, with a unified brand firmly established, KDG is focused on what comes next.
"Our objective was to remove friction throughout the marketplace, and we've accomplished that," said Chris Bardugone, Director of Sales & Marketing for KDG. "Now our full attention is on what we've always done best—engineering products that solve problems, supporting our dealer network, and continuing to innovate in ways that move the industry forward."
While innovation has become a common marketing claim throughout the firearms industry, KDG believes its approach is fundamentally different.
Internally, the company defines itself with a single word: Originator.
An originator doesn't chase trends or build products simply because a category is growing. It doesn't fill catalog pages with incremental variations or follow competitors into crowded markets. Instead, it identifies problems that haven't been solved well enough and develops purpose-built solutions designed to set a new standard for performance, functionality, and durability.
"If we can't build something better than what's already available, we don't build it," said Stephen Duhaime, Owner & Managing Director of KDG. "We've never chased trends, and we've never developed products simply because someone else did it first. Every product we introduce exists because we found a genuine problem worth solving and knew we could engineer a better solution. That's what being an originator means to us."
That philosophy continues to guide every product category within the KDG portfolio, from the patented Kinect™ quick-detach mounting system and SideLok™ optic mounts to the company's growing lineup of FN SCAR and Grand Power Stribog accessories.
As the company looks ahead, KDG plans to:
- Continue expanding the Kinect™ ecosystem with innovative modular mounting solutions.
- Broaden the SideLok™ platform to support additional optics and applications.
- Introduce new product categories that align with the company's core principles of usability, durability, and performance.
- Strengthen relationships with dealers and distributors through improved communication, product support, and continued innovation.
Every KDG product continues to be designed and manufactured in the United States, giving the company complete control over engineering, machining, quality assurance, and final inspection. That commitment allows KDG to stand behind every product with the confidence of a lifetime warranty.
"Building products in-house isn't a marketing slogan—it's how we maintain complete control over quality," Bardugone added. "We build it right the first time, and if something ever goes wrong, we make it right. That's been our standard since 2014, and it will continue defining the KDG name well into the future."
With a clear identity now established and an expanding product roadmap ahead, KDG is entering its next chapter focused on delivering original engineering solutions that strengthen the shooting experience while continuing to support the dealers, distributors, and customers who have fueled the company's growth for more than a decade.
Additional product announcements, category expansions, and dealer initiatives will be introduced throughout 2026.
