KDG Announces Strategic Transition to New Brand Identity

Building on its commitment to clarity, innovation, and long-term growth, KDG today announced the official transition to its new KDG brand identity. The move formally establishes the name that dealers, distributors, sales representatives, and customers have already been using throughout the industry while eliminating the marketplace confusion identified over the past year.

This is not a traditional rebrand. KDG isn't changing who it is—it's embracing who the market has already recognized it to be.

For years, "KDG" has become the natural way industry partners have referred to the company. Dealers placed orders using the abbreviation, sales representatives introduced the brand as KDG, and customers routinely searched for products using the shortened name. Following a sustained evaluation of feedback across its dealer network, distribution partners, and end-user community, the company determined the most effective solution was also the simplest.

KDG is already what the industry calls us. It's time to make it official.

The transition follows months of documented marketplace confusion that affected routine dealer interactions, distributor communications, and customer product searches. Rather than asking its partners to adapt, KDG chose to simplify the experience by aligning its public identity with the name already established throughout the marketplace.

"This isn't about changing who we are—it's about making sure the market can clearly identify us," said Chris Bardugone, Director of Sales & Marketing for KDG. "KDG is already how most of our dealers, distributors, and customers refer to us. Formalizing that identity removes unnecessary friction and allows us to move forward with a stronger, more focused presence throughout the industry."

The transition will include a phased rollout across every major customer and dealer touchpoint, including:

  • Marketing and communications materials
  • Product packaging and dealer-facing assets
  • Digital platforms, including the company website and social media channels
  • Distributor and dealer communications
  • Trade show displays and event representation

While the visual identity is evolving, everything that has defined KDG for more than a decade remains the same.

Leadership, ownership, engineering philosophy, manufacturing standards, customer support, and the company's expanding product roadmap remain unchanged. The same team that built the KDG reputation continues to design and manufacture the products trusted by professionals, competitors, and firearms enthusiasts across the country.

"We've spent more than a decade building this company and earning the trust of our customers," said Stephen Duhaime, Owner & Managing Director of KDG. "This transition isn't about becoming something different—it's about making sure the industry can immediately recognize who we've always been. By simplifying our identity, we're strengthening the brand for the future while making it easier for dealers, distributors, and customers to do business with us."

For dealers and distributors, the transition requires no operational changes. Ordering procedures, account relationships, pricing, product availability, warranty support, and customer service will continue exactly as they do today.

"This transition allows us to protect the integrity of our brand while improving the experience for everyone we work with," Bardugone added. "Whether someone is placing an order, searching for a product, or introducing our company to a new customer, clarity matters. This positions KDG for continued growth while reinforcing the identity our partners already know and trust."

The rollout is already underway, with updated branding appearing across digital platforms immediately, followed by product packaging, dealer materials, and trade show assets over the coming months. The phased implementation is designed to ensure a seamless transition without disrupting product availability or customer support.
