Gearfire, a leading provider of technology solutions for the shooting sports and outdoor sporting goods industries, today announced its sponsorship of The Briefing: FFL Compliance Summit, taking place Sept. 23–25, 2026, at the W Dallas in Dallas, Texas.
The Briefing is a three-day educational summit created exclusively for Federal Firearms Licensees and the professionals who serve them. The event will bring firearm dealers, manufacturers, and importers together with ATF leadership, ATF Chief Counsel, the FBI, and leading firearms industry experts for focused discussions on the regulatory changes affecting FFL operations.
Unlike a traditional trade show, The Briefing will not include an exhibition floor, product demonstrations or vendor booths. Instead, the program is dedicated entirely to compliance education, regulatory insight, and direct engagement with the agencies and experts responsible for developing, interpreting, and enforcing federal firearms requirements.
The summit arrives at a time where FFLs are preparing for significant changes across the regulatory landscape. These include ATF's 34-rule regulatory overhaul, a revised ATF Form 4473, new adverse action frameworks, and updated National Firearms Act requirements. Each general session will include a structured Q-and-A period, giving attendees an opportunity to seek clarification directly from regulatory officials and industry authorities.
Chad Seaverns, COO of Gearfire, says, "The rules are changing fast, and our dealers are asking what these changes mean for them. That's exactly why we're joining The Briefing. Putting FFLs in the same room as the ATF and FBI is how the industry stays ahead of compliance instead of reacting to it – and that's a mission we're proud to stand behind."
