What began years ago as a way to thank loyal viewers has evolved into one of the most unique gatherings in the outdoor industry, proving the lasting impact and influence of The High Road with Keith Warren.
For 40 years, Keith Warren has grown a strong following as a personality and icon in the outdoor industry. The program is now co-hosted by Johnny Piazza, who is bringing not only a new face to the successful, long-running program but also captivating younger viewers, expanding The High Road audience even further. To show appreciation to their dedicated viewers, Keith and Johnny throw an annual party.

On June 6th, over 250 hunters, conservationists, outdoor enthusiasts, industry leaders, and longtime viewers from across the United States traveled to Conroe, Texas, for the annual High Road Viewer Appreciation Party hosted by Keith Warren and Johnny Piazza at Conroe Taxidermy.
The event served as a powerful reminder that, after more than four decades of television, The High Road continues to unite a passionate audience committed to hunting, conservation, and preserving our outdoor heritage. Attendees traveled from coast to coast, with many making the annual trip a family tradition. Attendees of the party say they watch on TV, others say they watch on Facebook, and others say YouTube. Regardless of where they watch the program, they all came together for one purpose—to celebrate the outdoor lifestyle and support the conservation values that have defined The High Road for generations.
The evening featured great food, refreshments, taxidermy studio tours, exciting raffles, bucket drawings, and a live auction provided by the Texas & Louisiana Chapters of SCI that created an atmosphere unlike any other gathering in the outdoor community.
Most importantly, the event became a tremendous success for conservation. Through the generosity of attendees, online bidders, sponsors, and supporters, substantial funds were raised for the Texas and Louisiana Chapters of SCI. "The money raised will help support SCI's ongoing efforts to protect hunting freedoms, promote wildlife conservation, and defend the future of hunting for generations to come," said Johnny Piazza.
"The true success of this event isn't measured by attendance alone," said Keith Warren. "It's measured by the incredible impact that can be created when passionate hunters and conservationists come together for a common cause. Seeing loyal viewers travel from all corners of the country to support conservation is both humbling and inspiring."
The success of the evening was made possible through the support of numerous sponsors and partners, including Conroe Taxidermy, G2 Ranch, the Texas & Louisiana Chapters of SCI, SCI International, Yuengling Brewing, Four Branches Bourbon, and many others who contributed products, experiences, and resources to help make the event possible.
For Keith Warren and Johnny Piazza, the event was another testament to the remarkable community that has been built through decades of storytelling, education, and advocacy for preserving our hunting heritage and wildlife conservation.
As the evening came to a close, one thing became clear: The High Road is more than a television show. It is a community of dedicated hunters and conservationists who continue to make a meaningful difference for wildlife, conservation, and the future of our outdoor traditions.
Plans are already underway for the 2027 High Road Viewer Appreciation Party.
