Despite recent rains around the state, the summer heat is rapidly approaching. With low snowpack this past winter and a summer weather forecast that predicts hotter and dryer weather than normal, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is ready with a suite of tools to help protect our fisheries across the state.
On Thursday at noon, FWP will host a virtual townhall to discuss these tools and the concerns going into the summer. The townhall will last an hour and feature fisheries and water management staff, as well as FWP Fish Chief Adam Strainer.
"We know anglers and recreationists are keenly interested in the status of things now and what we're anticipating for the summer," Strainer said. "This will give folks a chance to hear what our concerns are and to ask us anything they'd like."
To join the virtual townhall at 12 p.m. Thursday June 4, via Zoom, simply click on this link. Attendees can raise their hands to ask questions. To watch a recording after it's over, go to FWP's YouTube channel.
