
Landowners can learn to improve conditions for wildlife on their properties at a Deer and Wild Turkey Habitat Management Field Day set for June 12, 2026, at Lexington Wildlife Management Area.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is $25; lunch and beverages are included. Deadline to register is June 8.
Representatives from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and Oklahoma State University Extension Natural Resources will speak on topics including deer and turkey habitat requirements, food plots, forest management and prescribed fire.
If weather allows, a prescribed fire demonstration will be part of the event. Attendees are urged to bring camp chairs if desired.
