WOOX is excited to announce the expansion of their North Carolina manufacturing facility with a planned groundbreaking at the end of this month and a completion by the end of 2026. This needed expansion is due to WOOX's continued growth and overwhelming customer demand for their Standard and High-Grade American Walnut, as well as their Laminate Series Stocks and Chassis. As a part of the scaling up process, they will be adding new buildings and new hires to the North Carolina team. The real investment goes beyond manufacturing capacity; WOOX is investing in people and in the rebuilding of a craft that has nearly disappeared from American manufacturing.
For decades, Hickory was considered the furniture capital of America. At its peak, the local furniture and woodworking industry employed tens of thousands of skilled craftsmen across North Carolina. Beginning in the 1990s and early 2000s, much of that production moved overseas, particularly to China, causing a dramatic decline in local woodworking jobs, family workshops, and hands-on finishing skills. Entire generations of artisans and factory workers saw their trades disappear. Today, WOOX is determined to help bring part of that tradition back. Every craftsman based in Hickory, NC learned the art of woodworking directly from the family who have been perfecting this art for nearly 90 years in Italy. These increasingly rare craftsmen are experts in hand-finishing and perfecting each and every piece by hand.
This effort is becoming a core part of the WOOX story; combining Italian woodworking heritage with American manufacturing while helping revive a culture of craftsmanship in a region that helped define it. Over the coming months, they will begin sharing more of the people, processes, and stories behind this work. WOOX is not only a product line, but a new generation of American craftsmen.

Every WOOX stock is one of one, cut from American walnut whose grain, figure, and density can't be replicated. They don't use molds, they select then shape and finish each piece by hand, the same way their family has done since 1937. That choice sets a hard limit; out of every harvest, only a small fraction meets their standard for shape, density, and structural integrity. Roughly 1 in 25 blanks meets their high standards of quality. From there, each piece is hand-finished by their skilled craftsmen. Each hand guard is cut from an individually selected Claro Walnut blank.
