The South Carolina Waterfowl Association (SCWA) is proud to announce the return of BirdFest, its annual bluegrass music festival, set for May 1–2, 2026, at the SCWA Wildlife Education Center (WEC) in Pinewood.
Now in its fourth year at the WEC, BirdFest continues to grow as a premier spring music event in the Southeast, bringing together nationally recognized artists, rising talent, and families from across the region for a weekend of great music and community fun.

This year's festival will feature two nights of performances from Steep Canyon Rangers, along with an exciting lineup that includes the Dan Tyminski Band, Trey Hensley Band, and Dom Flemons & the Traveling Wildfires. Attendees can expect high-energy performances across two days, creating an unforgettable live music experience rooted in tradition.

"BirdFest is more than just a music festival, it's an opportunity to introduce new audiences to the mission of the South Carolina Waterfowl Association," said David Wielicki, CEO of SCWA. "Every ticket sold helps support our education and conservation programs, impacting thousands of students and families each year."
Hosted on the grounds of SCWA's Wildlife Education Center, BirdFest offers more than just music. Guests can enjoy food vendors, craft booths, and on-site camping, all set against the natural beauty of the property. The festival also features a dedicated Kids Zone, making it a family-friendly event for all ages.
Proceeds from BirdFest directly support SCWA's mission to enhance and perpetuate South Carolina's wildlife heritage through education and habitat conservation. Through programs like Camp Woodie, Camp Leopold, and Outdoor Heritage Events, SCWA provides hands-on learning experiences that connect participants to the outdoors and promote responsible stewardship of natural resources.
Tickets are on sale now online and will also be available at the gate. However, attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early, as demand continues to increase each year.
