Texas Hunter Products proudly announces the retirement of Emiliano Gonzalez, who concludes an exceptional 56‑year career with the company at 82 years of age. His legacy stands as one of the longest and most impactful tenures in the company's history.
Emiliano began his journey the week after Thanksgiving in 1970 with Braden Wire and Metal, the company that would later become Texas Hunter Products. Starting in production, he cut, drilled, and painted parts for deer blinds before carefully packaging them for shipment. From the beginning, he demonstrated a level of dedication and craftsmanship that would define his career for more than five decades.
Over the years, Emiliano became one of the company's most reliable and hardworking team members. Driven by a desire to stay busy and contribute wherever needed, he took on essential responsibilities across the operation. He has packaged nearly every feeder timer and battery kit installed in Texas Hunter feeders, assembled the company's winch systems, and served as the go‑to expert for building custom boxes for uniquely shaped parts.

His commitment extended far beyond production duties. Emiliano arrived early each morning, often the first on-site, to ensure the parking lot and warehouse were clean and ready for the day. His quiet leadership and consistent work ethic set a standard for generations of employees.
Colleagues also know Emiliano for the personal touches he brought to each day. Mornings often began with his accurate weather report, and evenings ended with a warm farewell, sometimes accompanied by an impromptu Spanish lesson. His positive spirit and steady presence have left a lasting mark on the company culture.
"Emiliano represents the very best of our company's values — hard work, humility, reliability, and pride in doing the job right," said Cody Borgfeld, VP/GM. "His 56 years of service have helped shape who we are today."
As he enters retirement, Texas Hunter Products celebrates not only Emiliano's remarkable tenure, but the legacy of dedication, craftsmanship, and heart he leaves behind.
