Pietta Firearms Surpasses Expectations During 2026 Show Season

Gussago, Italy / Casper, WY – F.LLI Pietta and Pietta Firearms, Inc., widely known around the world as leaders in single-action and black powder revolvers, are thrilled with the overwhelming response and success experienced during Cowboy Christmas, SHOT Show, Mid-States, Worldwide, and NBS shows. The number of new consumers and dealers expressing interest and placing orders far exceeded previous show seasons. Pietta attributes this renewed interest and increase in sales to several key factors.
“Cowboy culture” has gone mainstream. From country music and television series to fashion, it can be argued that everyone wants to be a cowboy. Pietta’s single-action revolvers—often referred to as “cowboy guns”—have not only followed this trend but embraced it by tailoring marketing efforts and product designs to meet the growing demand. Dealers are seeing a significant rise in requests for single-action revolvers and are expanding their in-store selections accordingly. With no signs of the trend slowing down, Pietta continues designing single-actions with broad appeal for today’s cowboy culture enthusiasts.
Three new models designed specifically with this trend in mind—the Cowpoke, Pendleton, and Keepers of the Plains—have made an immediate impact. Consumer pre-orders, along with distributor, dealer, and farm & fleet commitments, have been strong across the board.
The Cowpoke pays homage to the American cowboy and to Wyoming, the state Pietta now calls home. Building off the “SMU” Pendleton revolver originally created for the Pendleton Round-Up, Pietta’s Pendleton model continues the celebration of rodeo heritage. The Keepers of the Plains serves as a tribute to the Plains Indians, adorned with traditional Native American lithograph artwork and notable quotes from Sitting Bull and other historic figures. All three revolvers will be available at the end of March.
The strongest reception, however, followed Pietta’s launch of its new double-action revolver, the Blacktooth—its interpretation of the iconic Colt Python platform. Beginning at Cowboy Christmas and continuing through SHOT Show, the interest from media, influencers, retailers, distributors, and industry professionals has been exceptional.
Each Blacktooth revolver undergoes careful assembly and final hand-fitting to ensure consistent lock-up, minimal cylinder play, and a smooth, predictable trigger pull. The ventilated barrel rib and full underlug enhance balance and sight acquisition, while target-style sights and premium grips make the revolver equally suited for the range, competition, or display in a fine collection.
Another key factor in this year’s success was Pietta’s longstanding partnership with Murski-Breeding Sales (MBS), the company’s sales agency of record covering the entire United States. Their dedication to the brand continues to be a tremendous asset. During this show season, MBS supported strategic programs and initiatives with key retailers and distributors while onboarding new retail partners nationwide. Momentum shows no signs of slowing as Q2 approaches.
With the opening of a new location in Casper, Wyoming, the continued rise of cowboy culture, a commitment to producing revolvers driven by customer demand, and a tenured sales agency expanding opportunities nationwide, Pietta is positioned for a highly successful 2026 and beyond.
Additional new revolver introductions are planned throughout the year.
