Meprolight Sponsors Precision Rifle Series Competitor Garrett Tyler for 2026 Season

Meprolight®, a global leader in premium electro-optical and optical sighting systems, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Precision Rifle Series competitor Garrett Tyler for the 2026 competition season. Tyler will represent Meprolight® optics while competing in PRS events throughout the Atlantic Coast Region, where precision marksmanship, equipment reliability, and shooter skill are tested across challenging long-range courses of fire.

The Precision Rifle Series (PRS) is one of the fastest-growing disciplines in competitive shooting. PRS matches challenge shooters to engage targets at varying distances under strict time limits while building stable shooting positions on barricades, props, and natural terrain. Designed to simulate real-world shooting scenarios, the sport demands precision, adaptability, and mental focus while fostering a community known for strong camaraderie and mentorship among competitors.

Garrett Tyler competes in the PRS Pro Series in the Atlantic Coast Region, where he currently holds a Marksman classification. With more than a decade of long-range shooting experience and four years competing in PRS events, Tyler has built a reputation as a disciplined and determined competitor.

His accomplishments include being named the Atlantic Coast Region Production Class Champion in 2022 and 2024, finishing 10th overall in the Atlantic Coast Region in 2024, placing 13th overall at the 2025 MPA Fall Shootout Pro Series Match, and finishing 16th overall in the 2025 Atlantic Coast Region standings.

Tyler first entered the Precision Rifle Series in 2022 when he decided to compete in a local regional match simply to test himself in the sport. After making what he jokingly describes as "nearly every mistake in the book" during that first match—despite receiving tremendous support from his squad mates—he returned to compete again at his local range. Winning the Production class at that second match set the hook and launched his competitive PRS journey.

For the 2026 season, Tyler has set ambitious goals, including securing an invitation to the PRS Pro Series Finale, earning a Semi-Pro or Pro classification, finishing in the Top 10 overall in the Atlantic Coast Region, and helping introduce new shooters to the sport.

"I'm honored and grateful to represent Meprolight Optics in the PRS," said Tyler. "My experience with the products so far has been nothing short of impressive, and I'm looking forward to the 2026 season." Tyler competes using the MVO™ 6-36X56 in his matches.

Through partnerships with dedicated competitors like Tyler, Meprolight continues to support the growth of competitive shooting sports while demonstrating the reliability and performance of its optics in real-world competition environments.
