Whitetails Unlimited Becomes Early Sponsor of IHEA-USA EduTech Catalyst Fund

The International Hunter Education Association–USA (IHEA-USA) is proud to announce Whitetails Unlimited as one of the first sponsors of the IHEA-USA EduTech Catalyst Fund, an initiative launched in December to advance modern, scalable education technology for state agencies, nonprofits, and volunteer educators.

Founded in 1982, Whitetails Unlimited is a national conservation organization dedicated to the betterment of white-tailed deer and other wildlife through habitat enhancement, conservation education, and youth-focused outdoor programs. With hundreds of local chapters across the country, Whitetails Unlimited has a long history of investing in projects that strengthen wildlife resources, promote ethical hunting, and support the next generation of conservationists.

The EduTech Catalyst Fund was created to connect industry support with real-world technology needs in hunter education. Through this fund, IHEA-USA is investing in tools that help states modernize hunter education delivery, improve safety and information accuracy, strengthen volunteer support, reduce classroom costs, and reach more new hunters with clear, reliable guidance.

Whitetails Unlimited's sponsorship reflects a shared commitment to conservation, education, and ensuring that hunter education continues to evolve alongside the needs of today's hunters and wildlife agencies.

"Whitetails Unlimited is excited to support IHEA and the new EduTech Catalyst Fund," said Russell Austad, Vice President of Field Operations for Whitetails Unlimited. "The simplicity it will bring to hunter education is nothing short of revolutionary. This will absolutely help recruit, retain, and reactivate hunters."

Support from partners like Whitetails Unlimited allows IHEA-USA to accelerate the development of education technology solutions that benefit instructors, volunteers, agencies, and students nationwide. These investments are designed to ease administrative burden, improve access to trusted information, and create more effective pathways into safe, ethical hunting participation.

"We are grateful for Whitetails Unlimited's early support of the EduTech Catalyst Fund," said Alex Baer, Executive Director of IHEA-USA. "Their long-standing commitment to conservation and education makes them a natural partner as we work to strengthen hunter education nationwide."
