Thank a Landowner portal closes March 15
Hunting is an important piece of Montana's culture. For many of us, it's not about tagging an animal, but about getting outside with family and friends and enjoying all of what makes Montana special.
Much of Montana is privately owned, and so hunting success here involves working with landowners to get access. As you reflect on last year's hunting season, it's a great opportunity to say thanks to the landowners who have provided you with access.
The FWP Thank a Landowner web portal is a great way to reach out to landowners and show your gratitude for the opportunities they offer. Hunters can submit thank-you notes and photos through the portal. FWP staff will collect photos and letters and mail them to landowners this spring.
Last year, more than 600 hunters expressed their gratitude through the portal. This year we'd like to collect even more. The last day to submit a note of thanks is March 15.
We know that landowners want to hear your stories of success.
