Here's the breakdown of this year's opportunities:
Three winners each for the following hunt permit-tags:
- Bighorn sheep (2 desert sheep and 1 Rocky Mountain)
- Bison (1 Kaibab, 1 Raymond, 1 House Rock)
- Elk
- Pronghorn
Two winners each for the following hunt permit-tags:
- Coues whitetail
- Mule deer
One winner for the following hunt permit-tag:
- Turkey
Seventeen hunters will be drawn, but the real winner is Arizona's wildlife. Every dollar raised through ticket sales is returned to the Arizona Game and Fish Department and managed by the Arizona Habitat Partnership Committee. With input from local habitat partners across the state and sponsoring organizations involved in the fundraising, project priorities are determined that provide the most benefit to each species.
Important Details:
- Tickets are $10 each, per species.
- The deadline to purchase tickets is 9 p.m. on June 30, 2026.
- The winner can hunt for 365 days (Aug. 15, 2026, to Aug. 14, 2027).
- Tickets must be purchased online, and the buyer must be in Arizona at the time of purchase.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department receives no general fund tax dollars. The majority of funding to manage more than 800 native wildlife species comes from Arizona's hunters and anglers.
