JD Burrows Receives 2026 HSCF Frank E. Green Award of Commitment

JD Burrows has been recognized as the recipient of the 2026 HSCF Frank E. Green Award of Commitment, presented at the 2026 Houston Safari Club Foundation Worldwide Hunting Expo & Convention.

The Frank E. Green Award of Commitment is one of HSCF's most prestigious honors, recognizing extraordinary members who have demonstrated exceptional dedication through sustained volunteer service that significantly enhances the Foundation and its mission. Established in memory of Frank E. Green, the award honors individuals who exemplify his enduring standards of commitment to HSCF, conservation of wildlife, and the protection of ethical hunting traditions.

JD Burrows has been an active member of Houston Safari Club since 2008 and has consistently given his time and leadership to the organization for more than a decade. He has served as a volunteer on several committees, including the Membership Committee from 2010 to 2012, where he worked extensively on the Convention floor welcoming attendees and signing up new members. Through this role, Burrows developed a deep understanding of the Club's mission, culture, and operational needs.

In 2013, Burrows assumed expanded leadership responsibilities, serving as a Director, Grants Committee Chairman, and Silent Auction Chairman in 2014, where his efforts directly supported HSCF's fundraising and conservation initiatives. Most notably, he served as President of Houston Safari Club Foundation from 2019 to 2020, guiding the organization during a critical period and helping ensure its continued strength and impact.

Beyond his leadership roles, JD and his wife Angie Burrows are long-standing supporters of HSCF, serving as Hunting Awards Sponsors and Gazelles Sponsors, further demonstrating their commitment to the Foundation's mission and programs.

"JD's service to HSCF truly embodies the spirit of the Frank E. Green Award," said Joe Betar, Executive Director, Houston Safari Club Foundation. "His willingness to lead, volunteer, and support HSCF at every level reflects an extraordinary commitment that has left a lasting impact on our organization and our members."

Professionally, Burrows serves as Vice President of Marketing for ENGIE, a leading global energy company. In this role, he is responsible for branding, public relations, market analytics, and pricing strategies, bringing strategic insight and leadership experience that have also benefited his volunteer service to HSCF.
