Century Arms, the exclusive importer of Canik handguns and accessories, introduces a line extension for the TP9SFx 9mm competition ready pistol. The new model will be available in a flat dark earth (FDE) color and retain all the award winning features that won the title of 2017 Handgun of the Year at the Industry Choice Awards.
“Canik is always listening to the feedback received from consumers,” said Jason Karvois, the company’s Director of Sales. “Flat Dark Earth is a popular color choice for the military and tactical gear available today, making it an easy decision to bring this line extension to market.”
The TP9SFx was designed to be an ‘out-of-the box,’ race-ready pistol for competitive shooting. Both color options, FDE and Tungsten Grey, come packed to perform with premium features including industry standard dovetail sight cuts that hold Warren Tactical sights, a 5.2” barrel, two magazines (both with extended baseplates providing a 20-round capacity), interchangeable backstraps, extended slide stop, extended magazine release, Cerakote finished slide, and a threaded hole on the optic mounting plate for use with an optional ambidextrous cocking handle designed for use in competition. Consumers will also have an option to purchase their SFx with a Vortex Viper optic by end of May. The Vortex Viper mounts easily on the slide and features a 6 MOA red dot that allows for fast target acquisition, while maintaining a precise point of aim.
The TP9SFx FDE model will be shipping to distribution this week and will make its debut at the upcoming NRA Convention in Dallas, TX from May 4-6 at the Century Arms and Canik booth #9257. Consumers will be able to see the SFx first-hand along with the full Canik TP9 Series line-up.
