Archery Advocates Association a Sponsor of National 4-H Shooting Sports

Archery Advocates Association recently announced as proud sponsor of National 4-H Shooting Sports programs.  Currently over 450,000 youth and 20,000 adult volunteer instructors are active in 4-H shooting sports programs directed through the Cooperative Extension Service of the Land Grant Universities.  4-H shooting sports programs are active in 47 states across the U.S. 4-H welcomes Archery Advocates Association as a sponsor.

The focus of all 4-H programs is the development of youth as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens.  The National 4-H Shooting Sports Program stands out as an example. Youth learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms and archery, the principles and ethics of hunting, and much more.  The activities of the program and the support of caring adult leaders provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth and conservation ethics.

Archery Advocates USA, headquartered in Oklahoma, touches all aspects of youth archery through its advocacy efforts.  Through state chapter corporate fundraising, national sponsor companies, and magazine revenue, Archery Advocates is one of the largest financial aid and promotional sources in the sport of youth archery. Archery Advocates is blessed to affect young people through sponsorship of individual athletes and grant and sponsorships provided to schools and organizations, such as 4-H shooting sports.

Archery Advocates focuses its funding and advocacy efforts toward numerous types of outreach programs, including:

HANDICAPPED PROGRAMS – A primary focus of Archery Advocates is to promote children with disabilities to participate in archery sponsorship.  We sponsor youth in competitive archery through sponsorship.  We sponsor youth in competitive archery with all forms of disabilities.  We provide therapeutic and recreational shooting opportunities for children with developmental disabilities, such as autism and downs syndrome.

TEAM GRANTS – Archery Advocates supports school teams for both public and private archery clubs.  Archery Advocates provides funding for archery equipment to allow student archers the best opportunity to excel in their sport.

SINGLE PARENT PROGRAMS – Archery Advocates provides funding and sponsorship to children in single parent households through our single parent program.  Archery can be an amazing alternative to a family who may not be able to meet the scheduling demands of conventional team sports, such as baseball or cheerleading.

POLITICAL LOBBYIST – Archery Advocates provides, at no expense, professional lobbyists to attend school board or any related meetings to discuss and promote the attributes of the sport of archery.

Kerry Sylvester, Archery Advocates Association Director of Outreach Programs, recently stated, “Whether it’s our national sponsorship of the 4-H shooting sports or grant programs available to each state 4-H shooting sports programs across the United Sates.  It is an honor to stand beside an organization with such an esteemed legacy as 4-H.  We are delighted to partner with an organization that, at every level, consistently shapes today’s youth.  Our association with 4-H is a long-standing commitment as we strive to make a successful path for the future of our youth to become productive, responsible stewards of the world around them as they grow into adulthood.“

Archery Advocates Association wishes all 4-H competitors the best of luck at the 2018 4-H Shooting Sports national championships and are honored to be a part of it.   See you all on the range!

Archery Advocates encourages everyone to stop by their booth at the 2018 National 4-H shooting sports.  If you know a youth archer or a child who is interested in archery who may qualify for any of our outreach programs outlined above, or would like to apply for a team grant, please contact us via the information provided below.
