National Rifle League Announces the 2018 Silent Night Match

501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting through a range of outdoors-related public interest activities, announced that the sixth match of the 2018 season will be Fouled Bore Precision’s 2018 Silent Night precision rifle match, presented by Butch’s Guns.

This national-level match will take place over 2 consecutive evenings, May 25-26, 2018, in Ninnekah, OK. This will be the first NRL sanctioned match ever held in Oklahoma, and first ‘night match’ ever hosted in a NRL season. Match will begin promptly at dusk. All targets will be illuminated, so night or thermal vision is not required. This is a suppressors-only match, however if competitors do not have one, Brotherhood Arms will be providing them.

Justin Watts will be the match director for Silent Night. After serving in the Army, Justin started Fouled Bore Precision, where he would offer and teach different shooting classes. Today Fouled Bore Precision continues to grow, hosting monthly local matches and 2 national matches a year. Last year Justin shot 24 precision rifle matches, placing 4th in Butch’s Oklahoma Shoot.

“This match is shot like any other match: barricades, prone stages, regular time limits, the only difference is that it’s shot at night,” said Justin on what competitors can expect from the match (via the Precision Rifle Channel Podcast). “Anyone who’s shot this match the last few years I believe will tell you it’s the most fun match they’ve ever shot at.”

Registration for Silent Night is open to both NRL Members and the public. The match is on a first come basis.
