COLUMBUS, Georgia – Now in its 29th year, Simmons' Sporting Goods Big Buck Contest is bigger and better than ever, and long-time sponsor Realtree Camouflage wants hunters everywhere to have a chance at the great prizes being offered this year.

The contest accepts legally harvested whitetail bucks, which are measured and recorded under Boone & Crockett green score parameters. Each entry is placed into its proper category, ranging from Largest Louisiana, Largest Mississippi, and Largest Arkansas buck, as well as 23 other categories. All bucks harvested outside of a 200-mile radius of Simmons' Sporting Goods in Bastrop, Louisiana, are entered into the designated Open Category. All entries are entered into a drawing for the grand prize, which is awarded during a prize ceremony which will take place on March 2, 2018.

Prizes include a $10,000 Shopping Spree at Simmons' Sporting Goods, a Yamaha ATV in Realtree camo, and much more for over 60 winners with prizes totaling over $150,000. The contest kicks off October 1, 2017, and runs through the January 31, 2018.
