Arizona: Wildlife Day Offers Visitors Glimpse at State's Wild Side

Wildlife Day offers visitors a glimpse at Arizona's wild side Saturday, Nov. 19

What
The Arizona Game and Fish Department manages more than 800 native species and the public is invited to meet several of them Saturday, Nov. 19 during the AZGFD Wildlife Day.

Experts will be on hand at the no-cost family friendly event to provide information about Arizona's wildlife. AZGFD can provide opportunities to have wildlife on hand for media interviews.

Visitors can also view and photograph live animals, including prairie dogs, a ringtail, desert tortoise and other reptiles, various owls, hawks and falcons. A number of preserved native mammal skins and skills will be present, and children can also practice their fishing skills at the "Backyard Bass" station.
