RALEIGH, N.C. — After conducting a series of public meetings in 2014 to gather input on game land management plan development across the state, the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission seeks additional feedback on proposed plans for six game lands.
The Commission will accept comments through Sept. 30 for the following game lands:
- J. Morgan Futch, comprising 596 acres in Tyrrell County
- Needmore, comprising 4,800 acres in Macon and Swain counties
- Pond Mountain and Three Top, comprising 7,435 acres in Ashe County
- Stones Creek, comprising 2,978 acres in Onslow County
- Upper Tar Complex, comprising 19,176 acres in Franklin, Halifax, Nash and Warren counties
- Whitehall Plantation, comprising 1,430 acres in Bladen County
Drafts of these game land management plans may be reviewed by visiting www.ncwildlife.org/gamelandplans. Comments should be emailed, with the name of the specific game land typed into the subject line, to gamelandplan@ncwildlife.org.
