Winter Park, Fla. – Andrew Cox has been named editor-in-chief of Marlin, Shawn Bean, editorial director for Bonnier Corp.'s Active Interest Network, announced today. In Cox's new role, he will build on the successful print redesign that launched with the November 2015 issue, and serve as brand ambassador to support sales and marketing efforts.
"There's a number of reasons why Andrew won this job: his relationships in the industry, the work he's done with The Billfish Foundation, and a consistent effort to develop new digital, social and print ideas for the brand," Bean says. "But it's most telling that more than a handful of staffers in the Bonnier Fishing Group and throughout our company expressed their support of him."

In addition to Cox's promotion, Mark MacKenzie joins the Bonnier Fishing Group as content strategy director, and will oversee Marlin, Sport Fishing and Salt Water Sportsman. Since 2012, MacKenzie has been the digital director of Bonnier's marine, aviation, watersports, sail and fish brands, instilling best practices for content creation and optimization, and working with the sales and marketing teams on sponsored digital and social programs.
