Fire Forces Closure of Arizona's Three Points Public Shooting Range

Temporary solution sought for users of Tucson-area facility

PHOENIX – Three Points Public Shooting Range will be closed until further notice after a recent fire damaged the administrative building of the facility, located about 25 miles west of downtown Tucson.

There is no timetable for the reopening of the range. As the damage from Friday's fire continues to be assessed, temporary solutions are being sought to accommodate the public and members of the Tucson Rifle Club, which operates the range through a lease agreement with the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The department's constituents will be notified when that solution is in place.

Three Points Public Shooting Range is one of eight ranges statewide that is owned by the Arizona Game and Fish Commission. The range is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
