Whitetails Unlimited Launches Dream Sheds II

Partnership with Mark and Terry Drury benefits the Catch-A-Dream Foundation

The Dream Sheds Partnership with Whitetails Unlimited, the Drury Brothers, and the Catch-A-Dream Foundation was an unqualified success during 2012-2013, raising more than $130,000 in grants to benefit Catch-A-Dream. The program is back this year at WTU banquets and events, and WTU President Jeff Schinkten says it will be even better this time. "This is a fantastic program that has a positive effect on families going through a very bad time, and we're shooting for $200,000 this year."

The Catch-A-Dream Foundation provides once-in-a-lifetime dream hunting and fishing experiences for children in the United States and Canada, age 18 and younger, who suffer from life-threatening illnesses.

Once again, Mark and Terry Drury are donating shed antlers collected from their properties in Iowa and Missouri. These sheds, along with a certificate of authenticity, will be featured as a special auction item at select WTU events during the next year, and once again WTU members are ready to step up. "We've had a number of inquires as to when and at what events we will have sheds," said Schinkten. "It's a big chore to put together this many quality sheds, but Mark, Terry, and their friends have worked very hard for the last two years to collect enough so we can continue the program, which we're calling Dream Sheds II."

Schinkten described the partnership as, "One of the easiest decisions we've ever had to make. This is something that everyone who hunts and fishes can support, and we're thrilled to be a part of it."
