INDUSTRY VETERAN EXCITED TO EXPAND BUSINESS AND CONTINUE COMPANY'S RICH TRADITION OF CRAFTING FISH-CATCHING PRODUCTS
Bemidji, Minn. – Continuing its 40-year tradition of enlisting the sport's most passionate anglers to create fish-catching products, Northland Fishing Tackle has named Eric Naig Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
A fishing industry veteran and diehard multi-species angler, Naig joined Northland in 2009 and most recently served as Brand Manager. Prior to joining Northland, he spent six years with Pure Fishing, managing field services and public relations, as well as handling marketing and new product development duties.
An accomplished angler, Naig also competed for 11 years as a professional walleye angler on the PWT, NAWA and FLW walleye circuits.

The company's roots trace to a tiny cabin tucked deep in the Northwoods, where John Peterson, an enterprising young fishing guide, began pouring jigs and tying tackle for clients back in 1975.
As demand for Peterson's products soared, he gathered hundreds of top anglers together on Team Northland, where they collectively fueled a steady stream of tackle breakthroughs and refinements that continues today in jigs, rigs, softbaits, spoons, spinnerbaits, fishing line, terminal tackle and accessories.
In other Northland news, former Vice President of Sales and Marketing Gary Morgal has been named Vice President of Business Development. Morgal will work with key buying and rep groups including Worldwide, NBS, Sports Inc., Sokol, Alliance, Canada Pro and various international distributors.
