New TN Secretary of State Media Contacts

Nashville, Tennessee – The Office of Secretary of State would like to announce new contacts for members of the media.
Adam Ghassemi is now the Director of Communications for the Office of Secretary of State. Adam, a Memphis native, has an eleven-year career reporting for television stations throughout the United States. Most recently he worked with WTVF-TV in Nashville. Adam will now serve as the general media contact for any issues relating to Secretary of State Tre Hargett, and his office divisions, including Administrative Procedures, Business Services, Elections, Charitable Solicitations & Gaming as well as Publications.

Blake Fontenay, the office's former communications director, will assume a new role as coordinator of the Tri-Star Chronicles project. In that capacity, Blake will continue to handle traditional and social media and work on special projects for the Tennessee State Library and Archives. He will also direct a new enterprise in which the State Library and Archives will record the life stories of Tennesseans who have had significant impacts on the state's history. These histories will be published in text and video formats on the department's website. Please note Blake's email and desk phone number have changed.
