Cincinnati, OH - F+W, A Content + eCommerce Company, is proud to announce the addition of Gordy Krahn to the editorial staff of Deer & Deer Hunting Magazine. Krahn will serve as editor of the magazine alongside F+W Outdoors Content Director and Deer & Deer Hunting Magazine's Editor-in-Chief Dan Schmidt.

Krahn, who has been in the outdoor publishing industry for nearly 25 years, is a well-respected veteran in the hunting community. Interestingly, his new role is a homecoming of sorts for Krahn, having previously acted as editor of Trapper and Predator Caller and managing editor of Turkey & Turkey Hunting magazines, both of which are F+W publications. He later went on to serve as editor-in-chief for North American Hunter Magazine for 15 years and co-host of North American Hunter TV on NBC Sports.

Gordy has always had his thumb on the collective pulse of American outdoorsmen and women. He knows what hunters want and expect in print, digital, online and TV products."

Krahn grew up in the small, rural community of Warroad, Minnesota, where he spent his youth tagging along with his dad on hunts. It was his father who instilled a zeal for the outdoors that has fueled his life-long hunting obsession. Now an avid rifleman, bowhunter and wing shooter, Krahn is an equal-opportunity venatic fanatic and has pursued both large and small game in hunts around the world.

"It always comes back to whitetails for me, because that's what I grew up on and that's where my passion lies," Krahn said. "That's why I'm so excited to join the Deer & Deer Hunting Magazine editorial team. It feels like a journey back to my roots."

Krahn resides in Monticello, Minnesota, with his wife, Lora, and their two Brittanys.
