L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives Opens Up Shop

L.T. Wright has been a knifemaker for many years now. He co-owned a successful knife company called Blind Horse Knives. When he and his colleague decided to end the partnership and go their separate ways, L.T. went back to what he was doing before BHK. That is L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives. The shop is located in Wintersville, Ohio and has a number of talented and dedicated employees that Wright would describe as family and friends.

L.T. Wright started knife making as a hobby in his basement. He attended a few local knife shows and befriended another maker named R.W. Wilson. Wilson taught Wright a great deal about the craft and the business of knives. Wright began to win over customers who soon turned into friends and supporters.

L.T. Wright has begun L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives. What can one expect from this knife company? They design unique, original, working knives. These knives can be used for hunting, bushcrafting, to in the kitchen, and more. The company will design models of various knives tweaked to be the best in the field. They will also do custom work producing knives tailored to the customers' specifications. They will continue to make models from the previous company's line, production knives, and custom knives.

One of the features of the company will be the Pout House. This is a VIP group of customers who get early access to knives and information from the company. Pout House members have access to a private forum. Membership to the Pout House is $20 a year and members receive access to the forum, first access to knives, a special stamp on their knives, access to limited runs and one-off knives, a badge, and a yearly camp out.

Another feature is The Vault. The Vault is available to Pout House members and the public. Inside will be one-off knives. Currently, winners of the 12 days of Christmas contest will win access to the Vault through a drawing.

The first knife the company will debut is called The Genesis. The Genesis will be out in the beginning of 2014. It will be a bushcraft knife with a four inch blade. Look for it on their web site soon.

L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives will provide a lifetime guarantee for their knives. They will continue making the great knives they've made in the past while imagining new knives for the future.
