Helen Kinsey, Co-Founder of Kinsey's Archery

Helen M. Kinsey, 94, of Mount Joy, passed away on Sunday, ­September 29, 2013 at home. Born in Maytown, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ella (Sipling) Sauder. Helen was the wife of the late Vernon Kinsey who passed away on July 11, 1998.

Helen was a co-founder and treasurer of Kinsey's Archery Products Inc. in Mount Joy, where she still worked until her passing. She was an avid outdoorswoman. Helen was also a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a charter member of the Big Chiques Archery Club, and shot in target competitions throughout the state with her husband. The most important thing to Helen was spending time with her family and the family business.

Helen is survived by a son, James V. Kinsey husband of Christine Bhe Kinsey of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 15 step-great grandchildren, and three step-great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Sauder.

A Funeral Service honoring Helen's Life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 47 West Main Street, Mount Joy on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 7 PM. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 4 PM- 6:45 PM. Interment will be private.
