Nichols Store in Rock Hill, SC has a history that dates back to 1968. Started by Tommy Nichols, it is now run by his son Darren. Through the years, the store has changed and grown in order to appeal to an ever increasing customer base. Darren Nichols wanted to keep the rustic appeal of the store that draws visitors from around the country, while at the same time creating a more upscale look and experience for his customers. With a restaurant, complete firearms and accessories offering, archery equipment, and even a full-range of clothing, the challenge was to develop a common look and theme throughout the store.
Darren contacted Zac Guy, President of Legacy Quest Outdoors, to discuss Darren's vision for the store and how the craftsmen at Legacy Quest Outdoors could help him realize it. Through numerous phone conversations and in-person meetings, Darren and Zac worked together to identify and develop unique fixtures and materials to achieve Darren's goal. As Darren describes it; "Zac brought to the process his experience in design, and the unique natural and reclaimed materials that Legacy Quest Outdoors has become so well known for." Legacy Quest Outdoors materials such as Poplar Bark, Reclaimed Barnwood Siding, and even Rusted Tin were used in the display cabinets, fixtures, and other design features that were created for the store.
Zac Guy observes that "....our relationship with Nichols Store and Darren has been beneficial to all involved. We have been able to help bring Darren's vision alive, while also making the customers of Nichols Store aware of our products and abilities."
Legacy Quest Outdoors is proud of our work on this project, and we would be happy to speak with others who are looking for a way to take their visions to the next level.
