Cabela's Announces Fish for Millions Participating Waters

SIDNEY, NE- Cabela's Incorporated, the World's Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, announced today the participating waters for Fish for Millions, a contest giving anglers a shot at up to $2 million in cash and nearly $270,000 in additional prizes by catching tagged fish in select lakes across the United States.

Cabela's, along with Chevy and Ranger Boats, tagged fish in lakes across 21 states - Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin - and nearly 100 bodies of water.

One of the tagged fish could be worth $1 million. The grand prize will be doubled to $2 million if the grand prize winner is a current user of the Cabela's app or downloaded the Cabela's Fish Recon app to their smartphone at least two days prior to fishing.

Up for grabs in this year's contest are two Ranger 520Z bass boats valued at $60,000 apiece, a Chevy Silverado valued at $55,000, $5,000 Cabela's shopping sprees, Ultimate Fishing Gear packages valued at $2,500, Cabela's Tournament ZX Tourney Trail fishing combos valued at $99.98 and Costa sunglasses valued at up to $250, among other prizes.

Registration began April 15 and participants must pre-register before fishing. Winners of specific prizes will be announced throughout the contest. Grand prize winners will be announced after the promotion ends July 7.

Species to be tagged this year include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, white bass, black bass, walleye, perch, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, striped bass, wiper, crappie, blue gill, panfish, channel cat, muskie, and northern pike. Species will vary state-to-state.
