Lyman Products of Middletown CT, has announced that Rick Ranzinger has been named President and Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity he will manage the company's day to day operations and will be responsible for planning and implementing their growth strategy. Rick joined Lyman in 1988 and has been with the company for 25 years where he most recently served as their VP of Sales and Marketing. He has spent his entire career in the Shooting Sports Industry beginning with the Winchester Group of Olin Corp. where he worked for 11 years. He also spent several years as Sales Manager for Berretta USA prior to joining Lyman.

Mr. J. Mace Thompson formed a small group of private investors to acquire Lyman in 1978 and has served as President since then. Through better focus on core product categories and selected acquisitions, Lyman has grown manyfold. In passing the primary operating responsibilities and leadership on to Rick, Mace said, "Given Rick's experience and energy, the entire Lyman team looks forward to continued growth and success in the years ahead." Thompson will assume the title of Chairman and CEO, but will work primarily on strategic initiatives, potential acquisitions and vendor/customer relationships, while ensuring a smooth transition of job duties.
